What can I use it for?

When the area of inspection involves multiple trades and consultants, e.g. a pre-pour or a pre-sheeting inspection, linking multiple inspection templates into a single template can simplify recording-keeping all in one place.

πŸ”— Add a link to other templates into your template

You now have the ability to grab a template from another company and link it to your project template. By creating an all-in-one inspection template, all relevant inspections works are contained within a single inspection checklist, ensuring ease for tracing back records relevant to e.g. a 'Pre-Sheet Checklist' for Level 1 Zone 4.

What are the benefits?

  1. πŸ›  Effortless Collaboration: Even with linked templates, subcontractors, consultants and clients can now leverage the inspection tracker to track their own inspection templates for effective progress tracking and template management.

  2. πŸ”’ Simplified Revision Control: Each trade or consultant can update their individual inspection template as needed, and changes can be easily reflected in your project template.

  3. 🌐 Streamlined Integration: The integration is seamless, ensuring subcontractors can continue to work with their templates without unnecessary complications.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Develop individual project templates for each trade or consultant

Subcontractors/Consultants/Clients need to have their templates available in your project.

  2. Establish your project template that will serve as the central document

I'll be using a Pre-Sheet template as an example.

  3. Link individual templates to your project template

Hit the "+ Add" button and select the option 'Existing templates'.

  4. Select the desired template from the project template library and the link is established πŸ”—.

  5. (optional) By clicking on 'See template', it will open the linked template in a new tab for you to review its contents.

  6. Publish your template and proceed to create as usual.

When linked templates have new revisions

[December 2023] If a new revision of the linked template is created by the subcontractor/consultant/client, there's a pill within your project template to notify a 'new revision available'. Hit the button to update the template revision.

Make sure to review the template before updating the revision!
