Prior to defecting, optimise your project settings for issue management by leveraging automation features, Location QR Codes and customisable defect rounds.

Navigating to a Location

Let's start with accessing the location by expanding the location tree or scanning the Location QR Code (this should have been setup prior to defecting - link to guide).

Create the Issue - Defect Type

Once you're in a location page on the mobile app, follow the steps below:

  1. Hit the blue + button

  2. Select Issue as the Visis type

  3. Select Defect as the Issue type

  4. Select the appropriate defect round or skip if its not related to a defect round
(this should have been setup prior to defecting - link to guide)

  5. Under the Assignee field, select the Company who is responsible for:

    • reassigning it to the respective trade or

    • correcting the defect.

  6. Take a photo and/or create a markup, then hit Next.

[You're now in the Visi page, where you can change the metadata details of the Visi]

Step 7. Tap on the Title field and provide context to the photo you've taken

  • Where exactly is it located in the apartment?

  • What is the defect?

  • Adding a description is optional

Step 8. Optional

  • Under the Reviewer field, you can select a Company who is responsible for approving and closing the defect.

Step 9. Optional

  • Under the Due Date field, you can select a date you would like the defect to be closed.

Automations (this step should have been setup prior to defecting - link to guide)

  • If you're the creator of the defect, you can automate Your Company as Reviewer of the defect.

  • Due dates to defects can be automated to preset close out duration (days) to ensure timely resolution.

Step 10. Once you're happy with the details, you can hit 'Add another issue' to create another defect.

  • This will take you through the same steps 6 - 10, where new defect created will remember the last location, defect round and assignee. (You can change this information at step 6 or 7).

Edit, Delete, Finalise or Save as Draft

Step 11. Review & Edit / Delete Defects before Creation

  • To review the list of defects you've just created, hit 'Confirm and finish' to review the list of defects you've just created in that location.

  • You can click into any defect to change metadata details or delete the defect. Hit 'Confirm and finish' to navigate back to the Defect Review List.

Step 12. Finish Creation of Defects or Add Another Issue or Save as Draft

From the Defect Review List,

  • Once you're done defecting in that location, hit 'Finish' to create defects to the location.

  • or You can 'Add another issue' to repeat steps 6-11.

  • or You can click the back arrow to 'Save defects as draft'.

Defects saved as draft

  • If you have saved defects as draft, 'Drafts' will appear in your homepage and you can navigate back to the Defect Review List by clicking on 'Drafts'.

Finish Creation of Defects

  • Hit 'Finish' once you're happy to launch them out into the Visiverse.
